I finished Not Really The Prisoner of Zenda. It failed to exceed my expectations. The climax of the book was over so quickly that it was hardly satisfying, in about the second last chapter, and then the twist ending revealed in the last chapter was, if anything, even less satisfying. Let's hope, perhaps that Joel Rosenberg ends the series here. Not that his last unrelated series(the "Keepers of The Hidden Ways" series)was that great either. It might just be time to admit that he's lost it, or perhaps it was just that the early "Guardians of The Flame" books were anomalously good. (Well, D'Shai was pretty good too, if I recall correctly. But the rest has been admittedly middling.)

I Googled my name last night, for idle amusement.
Now, I already knew that there was a football player named Aaron Humphrey out there, playing for some Texan team. Austin Wranglers, it seems. I'm gratified to find that five of the top ten entries are actually referring to me, though.
Then we have:

Then we have:
- The registry for my recent wedding to Myrna Crabtree. (For all I know, this is the football player, of course...)
- The registered sex offender Aaron Cleman Humphrey(which makes me grateful they always include middle names when referring to criminals).
- A character from "Revenge of The Nerds IV: Nerds In Love". I never watched any of those movies, for fear they would hit too close to home. At least, back when I was nerdier. Played by Joseph Bologna, who I've never heard of, but doesn't look like he'd actually be one of the Nerds himself.
- A mountain climber and alumnus of Bates College.
- Author of a blog, named "Quiche of The Day".
- The author of an article on Tokamak fusion reactors for UIUC.
- And a soldier in Iraq; interviewed after the whole Iraqi prisoner pictures incident, as some kind of typical soldier. Cousin of a Cub Scout in or around St. Louis(?). And here's another article about him leaving Belleville, Illinois for active duty in September of 2001. He was 19...was he the same as the Tokamak guy? I can't help but wonder. If so, at least one American soldier in Iraq knows about fusion reactors...and you never know when that kind of thing will come in handy.
