Gentlebeings, Start Your Ectoplasm!

I'm currently rereading my Love & Rockets collection. I'm at about #33, in the middle of "Poison River" and "Wig Wam Bam", which is where I tend to slow down. I have trouble keeping track of all the characters in "Poison River" once they get into the druglord plot, and "Wig Wam Bam" is just too slow.

But anyway, I noticed, in the earlier part of the series, that it seems that Jaime Hernandez's(or perhaps just Maggie & Hopey's)default description of sexual deviance is "getting tied up and beaten with a hot wheel track". Now, when I first read that, my brain parsed it as a "wheel track"(whatever that was)that was hot. It wasn't until a few rereads that I suddenly realized it was "Hot Wheel[TM] track", which made more sense, and was an interesting mental image. So either it's a common phrase in Oxnard, CA, or it's a private joke of Jaime's, because he's used it three times so far in the series. What's up with that?

I Can't Believe I'm Doing This Again.

Most of you probably don't want to know what's on my desk. But in case you do, I've decided to post it here. )
