My wiki is now up at Wikicities. I decided upon a full name of Concordances and Characters, perhaps to de-emphasize the whole synopsis issue, though the short name is still Concord. There's not much there yet--the vast majority of the Wheel of Time stuff I did on my home wiki, which is to say the character lists, and the beginning of the Fires of Heaven concordance. It still needs a logo(and a favicon.ico), which I am generally incompetent to provide, so it's still using the Wikicities default. I know that some of my readers do icons...if any of you have any urge to help me out with mine, please let me know. For that matter, if you want to contribute, let me know, or just sign in and start working. There's no Help pages, and I may just point to Wikipedia's or something. I would like to make up some templates, but I don't know how. Etc. I'm more interested, right now, in going through the actual books.

Speaking of books, I promised to update more often... I finished rereading The Gap Into Vision: Forbidden Knowledge. The first book is more a triangle between Morn Hyland, Nick Succorso and Angus Thermopyle, though I don't think Nick gets any actual viewpoints at all throughout the series. The second book, Angus, gets intermittent chapters, but it's almost all from Morn's point of view, and she is near-constant jeopardy throughout the book. It makes a bit of an exhausting read, but it's a real thrill-ride. In the rest of the series, the scope widens, with a whole bunch of intrigue at UMCP Headquarters, so the focus of this book was almost surprising, because I'd forgotten the earlier books.

Right now I'm read A. Merritt's The Face In The Abyss(which I always get confused with John Bellairs's The Face In The Frost, for some reason). It dates from 1931, and it does show some signs of age, being a real lost-world adventure, but it's not too bad so far. For some reason I thought this was a pseudonym for a husband-wife collaboration(like C.L. Moore and Henry Kuttner), but apparently not.
