You know, all this time I thought that when people were talking about their "deadjournal" accounts, they were just making a pun on "livejournal", the way people can constantly refer to, say, "Micro$oft" or "Windoze".

I didn't realize there was an actual site until just now, though.

Sounds a bit self-consciously anti- to me, but whatever.

Funny, isn't it. Not really anti, though; I gather deadjournal runs on the open source livejournal code. Which would be a strange decision if you really hated livejournal. Heh.
