Cupcake Threat
Nov. 3rd, 2004 11:51 pmI suppose I should mention that I'm just over 5000 words into my NaNoWriMo novel, The Man In The Suit Named Everett. I think it's being harder than the other novels I've done, but maybe having written 80,000-odd words already this year is just burning me out. Hard to tell.
Last night I roasted pumpkin seeds. Mmm. Found a recipe on the internet--yes, that's me, I need a recipe to roast pumpkin seeds. Though it could've been better, it was still good comfort food. (To give credit where it's due, it was Nicole and Simon who scooped them out of the pumpkins on Saturday, and Nicole who cleaned them.)
Nicole's doing NaNoWriMo again this year, writing the sequel to Violet Eyes and Silver Eyes. Working title so far is Angel Eyes. She's already decided that if she can't interest a publisher in it, she'll just put it up for free on her website. She gets about half a dozen fan emails a week asking if there's a third book, so hopefully this will appease them.
I should go to bed now.
