Another good session, a little over 1800 words in an hour and a half. At this rate I'll have two and a half days left over at the end of the month. Tomorrow night, though, we're going to a potluck with a few local writers to welcome an out-of-towner who's in town for a few days, and the night after we'll be getting together with my mom and stepdad for supper or something. Not to mention that sometime this month we will have to get out to see The Matrix Revolutions. Plus "24" and "The West Wing"... Yeah, I'm sure by the last week I'll be up to 2500-word quotas again.

I was originally sort of planning to alternate between Tish and Éogyd, but for now I'm just sticking with Tish. She's almost at the Vortex, and tomorrow night(after we get home)I'll actually have to try describing that. I never did, in the original story. Maybe I'll even introduce some other characters.

My mom said they might be buying a new truck, and if so they'll be getting rid of their Jeep. And since it's only a $500 trade-in value...they might give it to us. That would be cool, because after last week's unpleasant bus experiences(which I hope to bitch about here or on my blog when I have some time), I think having a second car would be a great idea. It's a '91, so I'm not sure what the insurance will be like, but hopefully not too outrageous since it will be a 'second vehicle'.

Or would it? If we can't put the car seats into it, then I'll have to leave our current car with Nicole for outings during the day, so I'll be driving the Jeep to work. Knowing my mother, it won't have a tape deck or anything, so I might have to try to get the current one transferred over, because I want my tape deck. It makes rush hour traffic bearable, when it actually works, which is actually more often in colder weather.

I've been watching license plates, as always, and I've definitely seen a few "YZZ-" plates out there. They're fairly scattered, and I presume that they make a whole bunch and then spread them out throughout the various privatized licensing bureaus throughout the province. Still, by the time we get the Jeep registered(if, I keep having to remind myself--it's not certain yet), we might get a "Z" license plate. Or should I spring for a vanity? Probably not, but I should check that out sometime. You must have to preorder them...

Anyway, enough of that. Funny how doing writing in the evenings is making me journal more... I'm hoping to establish a few new habits this month. Not writing, though--it didn't stick the last two years, so I'm not expecting it to this year. It'll feel much more burdensome pretty soon.
